There is a huge difference between a trim and a precision cut. A precision cut is completely changing your entire look. It could be by adding bangs, cutting layers in your hair, or a short chic look that some refer to as the “Big Chop.” A trim is simply taking a little off the ends. It is no more than a quarter of an inch or less. A trim should be done every 10 to 12 weeks. Trims are highly recommended not only to maintain a clean and healthy head of hair, but to promote continuous growth of your hair. The longer you go without a trim, the more you will have to cut once you decide to have your hair trimmed.
It is important to stay on a regular schedule with your trims especially if your hair has color or is chemically relaxed. By the time the hair reaches the end, the color fads and the ends split resulting in hair loss. Take the best care of your hair and schedule your next at Nostalgia Hair Studio.
