My little cousin came in town this weekend for Juneteenth. You did her hair on Friday even though you were booked.( which you didn’t have to do) not only did you slay her hair you taught her about African-American history.. her sole purpose for coming this weekend was to learn about the other half of her family the black side of her family. The black Excellences she experienced at your salon was greater than anyone could have asked for. She is literally obsessed with you … all weekend long she was like Sarah said, Sarah taught me, Sarah so beautiful, Sarah so smart.. you definitely helped changed her perspective on what being black is.. outside of her grandma and great- grandmother.. she never experienced strong beautiful assertive black women. This was our first time actually hanging out in communicating with other people other than her mom’s side of the family. Decided to do the big chop and she cut my hair to perfection. I had a specific vision on how I wanted my hair cut and she exceeded my expectations. Her care to my emotions and hair as I made this big chop made the transition effortless and comfortable. She made sure before she cut to analyze my curl pattern at the root to ensure she would be cutting my hair correctly. After much anticipation she began cutting and the experience was relieving. The way she catered to my hair and treated it like the crown it is, gave me the reassurance that I needed for this cut. After cutting it she styled my new cut and informed me on the products that would work best, how to manage and protect it, and even ordered me some of the products she used to get my desired look.
